Relaxation massage – a treat or maintenance?

Recently, a client paused at the end of her session and while still lying on the massage couch in a state of deep relaxation she said, “I should do this more often”.

That in and of itself is not news, I have heard it before and I am always happy to hear it. I enjoy what I do and I take pleasure from hearing that people enjoy receiving what I have to offer.

If that was all that was said, then there would be no discussion to be had, however this particular client continued with, “but I feel guilty”.

How sad is that? To feel guilty for doing something that feels good to her, for doing something that is of benefit to her, for doing something that she enjoys.
